Fork
-
A re-valve involves changing shim settings, parts and tolerances based on the rider preferences, discipline, skill level, weight, and riding style. Upon teardown - bushings, seals, tubes, pistons and bands, taps and nuts are all inspected and replaced if needed.
Previous settings are recorded and rider feedback on previous seng is taken into consideration when building the new seng. Forks are then rebuilt with the new setting
and parts if needed, o-rings and seals are greased, and Locite is applied in appropriate locations.
Each re-valve is given 1 free setting change based off rider feedback if the rider is not satisfied. This must be done within a window of 3 days of receiving, installing, and riding the newly re-valved set.
-
A service involves tearing down the forks and recording settings. Bushings, seals, tubes, pistons and bands, taps and nuts are all inspected and replaced if needed.
Forks are then rebuilt with new oil, o-rings and seals are greased, and Loctite is applied in appropriate locations.
-
A setting change consists of changing anything internally in the fork to better suit the rider.
This charge is generally done after the rider has gone through their one free setting change after a re-valve. The setting change should also be done within a window of 3 days of receiving, installing, and riding the newly re-valved set. Anything outside of this time window will be considered a service.
-
Spring rate changes may be necessary on a new or used bike. If a bike is setup for a different rider weight, it is required that correct spring rates are installed prior to setting changes. This labor rate is waived if customer is also requesting a service or re-valve at the same time.
-
Tube replacement is the replacement of the inner or outer fork tube that has been damaged during use or lack of service schedule. If damage is extensive enough, outer bushings and seals may need to be replaced as well. If the inner tube needs to be replaced during a service, this labor charge is added to the fork service labor rate.
